Old toppies looking strong

The Rollers Oldies are taking shape as they continue preparations for the World Vintage Cricket Carnival early next year.

Fifteen players have been confirmed for the squad, including a ringer in former Free State star Brad Player.

In order to generate some funds for said tournament, the Rollers will sell a number of Raffle tickets, with prizes ranging from wine, collectors boardgames and the main one, a hand-crafted coffee table made from Exotic wood valued at R3 000.

The draw date is Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2010.

The Oldies have also challenged the Rollers’ younger gaurd to a warm-up game in March at Edgemead, the details of which are yet to be confirmed.

Rollers squad: Dave Hillman, Jacques Laubscher, Neville Cooper, Pierre Marais, Jacques Wahl, Jakes Oberholzer, Gerald Jooste, Nico Rheeder, Grant Whitburn, Mark da Silva, Dave van der Walt, Brad Player, Theunis Mostert, Sully Rubbidge, Leon Nortje

About West Coast Rollers

Founded in the early-90s, the West Coast Rollers is a social cricket side that has become so much more than that - we are a brotherhood that just happen to be quite good at cricket and even better at drinking.
