2012/13 Rollers Fixtures

The 2012/13 season is but a few weeks away and all the fixtures have now been confirmed.

As Dave Hillman pointed out, there were a few teams that have had issues which meant we could not secure a game against them, for example:

• Kelvin Grove cricket is no longer – they may be back in 2014 if they can re-organise themselves.
• Groot Drak with the passing of Alfie last season have organized some memorial games in his honour for the beginning of the season and can only play us in March 2013.
• A game against Hermanus has now been arranged as replacement for Kelvin Grove.
• Easter weekend is the 29th of March and there is a long weekend the weekend before (Human Rights Day, 21st March) meaning that the season is shortened. We have 3 games in March (10th, 17th & 24th)
• SA vs New Zealand ODI on 19th Jan 2013 at Paarl. We play the next day.
• SA vs Pakistan Test on 14th Feb. 2013 to 18th Feb. at Newlands – Avoided a game for us in this period.

We are also still finalising the pre-season tour to Veldrift. Will keep you posted.

About West Coast Rollers

Founded in the early-90s, the West Coast Rollers is a social cricket side that has become so much more than that - we are a brotherhood that just happen to be quite good at cricket and even better at drinking.
